    Kansai Area Pass is valid for unlimited travel in the valid area on the map.


      

    Valid trains

    • Reserved seats on Kansai-airport Express HARUKA* For reserved seating, ensure you book your seats before boarding the train.
    • Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines

    Other

    The pass is only valid on WEST JAPAN JR BUS route buses within the valid area. The pass cannot be used on expressway buses.


    Exclusions

      Trains below cannot be used!

      • Both Reserved and Non-reserved seats on Express Trains excluding Kansai-airport Express HARUKA
      • - Paid seating services, such as A Seat, which are available on Local, Rapid, and Special Rapid trains in the Kansai area.
      • Bullet Train "SHINKANSEN"
      Please note

        Availability and Use

        · A 90-day extension of the booking date for tourists is valid.

        · A rail pass is valid for consecutive days.

        · The pass will be valid at 0:00 from the start day to 24:00 on the last day (all times JST).

        However, if the validity period expires while riding a train on the last day, the pass will be valid for the fare until the following day so long as the passenger does not exit the station, and for ticket fees so long as the passenger does not depart the train.


        Train Accommodations

        √ Kansai Area Pass can be used.

        △ Additional separate tickets are required.

        × Kansai Area Pass cannot be used.

        * When additional tickets are required, obtain the tickets at a JR-WEST station before boarding.


           

        * 1 First Class (Green) Tickets and separate Express Tickets are required.

        * 2 This pass can be used for reserved seating up to 2 times.

        * 3 When using reserved seating, make sure to reserve seats in advance before boarding.

        Reserved seating cannot be reserved on the train.

        If the maximum number of reserved seating uses has been reached, or to use reserved seating after boarding the train, a non-discounted Limited Express reserved seating ticket must be purchased separately.

        * 4 Separate First Class (Green) Tickets for Local Services are required.

        * 5 Separate charges are required when using paid seating services (such as A-seat) on Local, Rapid, and Special Rapid trains in the Kansai area.
